Sunshine is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Sunshine, on the Sunbury railway line. It is the junction of three V/Line train lines: the line west to Ballarat, the line north-west to Bendigo and, after the completion of the Regional Rail Link in 2016, a new line through to Geelong via Tarneit & Wyndham Vale. The Melbourne - Sydney standard gauge line also runs right alongside the station.As of November 2013, Sunshine station is currently being completely rebuilt as part of an upgrade accompanying the construction of the Regional Rail Link.Classed as a Premium Station, Sunshine is in Myki zones 1+2 overlap.FacilitiesSunshine station is located between Monash Street and City Place/Durham Road, with station access from both sides.The station currently consists of a side platform and an island format; with a footbridge over the station housing the ticket office, waiting area and toilets. myki ticket vending machines are located on the footbridge, which are able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins.
